What you’ll learn
A beginner course, taught in person at our East Tamaki academy.
This is the full pathway. Ten days, seven disciplines, and a complete enhancement menu at the end of it — everything you need to walk into a salon or open your own doors.
You'll start from the ground up. Nail anatomy, disorders and nail health, client consultation and contraindications, the legalities of working on paying clients, professional prep, filing and buffing, and sanitisation to salon standard. Get these right and every service that follows sits on solid ground.
From there you'll build through the systems in order. Gel polish, from base coat to a chip-free cure, with troubleshooting and safe removal. Gel X, one of the most requested services on any menu — sizing, fitting, seamless application and soak-off removal. Builder gel, for strength, structure and the structured manicure clients rebook for. Acrylic extensions, taught from the chemistry up and built around our signature Acrylic Flow Method, which places the first bead at the cuticle so the product flows toward the apex, giving you a correct apex and C-curve every time.
Then the two skills that set you apart: e-file work, the single biggest upgrade to your speed and your client's comfort, covering bit selection, RPM control, prep, fast removals and Russian manicures — and fifteen styles of nail art, where brush control, layering and colour placement turn a service into a signature.
Throughout, you'll learn rebalancing, infills and repairs — the appointments that fill your column month after month — and finish on pricing your services profitably and building a beauty career rather than a job.
The course builds in sequence, so nothing is assumed. No prior experience required.

Paying for your course
Pay in full, or spread it over four or six weeks with invoices sent to you each week. Afterpay is also accepted.
A 20% deposit holds your dates with an expert educator. The balance is then split across your chosen plan. Need longer than six weeks? Ask us and we will try to accommodate you.
