What you’ll learn
A beginner course, taught in person at our East Tamaki academy.
“By the end you'll prep and file to a professional standard, and you'll meet the entry requirement for our intermediate nail courses. No prior experience required.”
Every nail service rests on the same few skills: reading the nail, prepping it correctly, and filing with control. Get those right and everything else sits on solid ground.
This one-day course suits anyone new to nails, and anyone heading into one of our intermediate courses who wants to arrive able to keep up rather than catching up. You'll cover nail anatomy, disorders and contraindications, nail health and nutrition, and the nail systems used across the industry — then move onto professional prep, and filing and buffing practised on a live model until it's clean and repeatable. Sanitisation and sterilisation to salon standard is covered throughout.
