What you’ll learn
An advanced course, taught in person at our East Tamaki academy.
Stretch marks are one of the most common skin concerns clients ask about, and most treatments on offer can't help. Inkless stretch mark revision uses controlled needling with no pigment to stimulate the skin's own repair response, gradually improving the texture and colour of stretch marks over a course of treatments.
This advanced course teaches the technique from consultation to aftercare. You'll learn how stretch marks form, the difference between newer red or purple marks and mature silver or white marks, and which clients are suitable. You'll learn the needling technique, working depth and the solution used, then how to plan a course of treatment, space sessions correctly and track progress with photographs. Contraindications, numbing and infection control are covered throughout. Because results develop as the skin heals, you'll learn each stage of healing after treatment, aftercare, how to tell normal healing from infection, and how to set realistic expectations, as results are gradual and vary from client to client.
Model work is at the heart of this course: after a lecturer demonstration, you'll treat 3 live models under close guidance. Prior needling experience is required. You'll need to have completed a cosmetic tattooing course, or our Advanced Microneedling & Skincare course, or hold an equivalent qualification. Proof of prior skills required.
