Waxing is one of the most reliable earners on any beauty menu. Clients rebook every four to six weeks, and a tech who can confidently offer face, body and intimate waxing can fill a column on waxing alone.
This five-day course takes you from no experience to a full waxing menu. You'll start with the science: the anatomy of the hair and follicle, the hair growth cycle, hair growth types and the causes of excessive hair growth. You'll then learn the different waxes (strip, hot and hybrid) and why each suits a particular area, along with consultation, contraindications, and salon-standard hygiene and sterilisation.
Our trainers demonstrate each area before you practise on live models, working across the face, body and intimate areas on a range of hair types, textures and growth patterns. You'll learn to keep clients comfortable, work efficiently, troubleshoot common problems, and give clear pre- and post-care advice.

Pre-wax cleanser, Talc, Strip wax, Hot wax, Wax warmer & cartridges, Wax applicators (large & small), Tinfoil, Gloves, Tissues, Wax strips, Post-wax lotion, Tweezers, Scissors.
Live models
10–12 x Models, booked into your practical sessions so you finish having worked on real clients.
A year of tutor support
Technique and product troubleshooting for twelve months after you certify, plus help with your NZ Health Protection licence.
Paying for your course
Pay in full, or spread it over four or six weeks with invoices sent to you each week. Afterpay is also accepted.
A 20% deposit holds your dates with an expert educator. The balance is then split across your chosen plan. Need longer than six weeks? Ask us and we will try to accommodate you.
